  Indian pacific Railway train at Adelaide Train station in South Australia. The indian Pacific is an amasing train journey from coast to coast in Australia. 66 hours of train travel. It does cross the nullabor plain, it is the longes straight train track in the world.

  Liverpool street is beautiful, I agree. For me, one of the most attractive things about stations (over airports) is the tawdriness of them. The mixture of neon modern and beautiful, old architecture is a part of it somehow :) M&S doesn't bother me as much in a station as it does in an airport, bizzarely.

  London has several stations with remarkable architecture, but Liverpool Street Station and its ornate painted ironwork is my personal favorite. Even with all of the modern renovations and mini Marks & Spencers that block some of the best views, it still retains an old-timey charm.

  Curtea De Arges station in Romania - One of the most beautifully designed stations I've seen and also home of the quaintest and very possibly one of the oldest trains I've ever ridden on!
