    hi,
i'm planning trip to Australia and I was wondering if anyone could give me some good tips. We're arriving Sydney on the 28th of Dec and have to be in Adelaide January 7th. I would like to spend ca 2 full days in Kosciuszko National Park, 2 full days on Kangaroo Island and of course drive Great Ocean Road :)

Did any of you did this route and have some good hints what to see and where to stop? would really apreciate it! :)

Hi - our family spent a month road-tripping from Sydney down to Victoria and back up the coast. Highlights: Sydney, Daylesford (a town an hour outside of Melbourne), Batemans Bay (a coastal town near Canberra). Disappointments: Blue Mtns, Philips Island (they were okay but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about). Surprisingly enjoyed: Canberra. For recommendations and details on where to go in these places and things to do with school-age kids, feel free to check out the Australia archives on our blog, away-together.com. Here's the Sydney one, for example, http://away-together.com/2010/02/11/sydney-wet-and-wild/

I live in Australia and have toured every state extensively. Originally from SA I moved to Darwin 7 yrs ago. Having also travelled quite a bit OS I believe we are very lucky to have some of the most beautiful places in the world right on our own doorstep.

I'm travelling to WA in June, and I'm looking for great advice on what to do and see! I have visited Australia before, and stayed very briefly in Perth, but I want to make the most of this trip.

lib I really like King's Park (great view of the city) and taking the ferry to Freemantle while in Perth. If you have a day to spare take a tour to see the Pinnacles, it is a petrified limestone forest. I have never seen anything else like it and it was a really memorable highlight of my trip to Perth.
