About to go to China...
hi there. we are a british couple and we are currently in Mongolia and about to cross into China, visa permitting!
We would like to explore rural china and have heard that the Yunnan province is fantastic for hiking and camping. is this true?
we would be interested in joining any rural community projects if they exist. any help or advice gratefully received.
Also, we would like to visit the Great Wall - and would like to go to a part that is not so touristy but still beautiful...

salaheryo Yeah~Yunnan is so fantastic.I have seen many foreigns in Tiger leaping Gorge .it is good for hiking &climbing.
it is diffcult to find somewhere without tourits but beautiful. maybe u can go to the small town in Dali,Yunnan. Enjoy the shopping market on ruled days. Trust me It will be nice~
