Beer in Kiev is sold for about $1US per bottle from Kiosks...and even off small push carts on weekends...all over the city...but mainly in crowded areas like Kreshatik Street and Independence Square. It's legal to carry an open bottle on the street...sort of like Mardi Gras in New Orleans... Most Ukrainians can hold their alcohol and obvious drunkness is rarely seen...despite what you read in the guide books..

Ah... pivo, cerveza, öl or just plain old beer - it just can't be beat!
Exciting news - the Beers of the World group just admitted it's 100th member - great to see such enthusiasm for travel and beer!
Welcome to the group and, of course - Cheers!
