King of Beers!!!
I spent a week in Prague in January... oh the beers. All of the Czech lagers are wonderful in my opinion and especially next to a blazing fire and sitting on wooden benches. However, I have to give the "King of Beers" award to the dark czech lager Kozel. I have tasted many, many beers from countries all over the world and most of the American microbrews, but I have NEVER had a beer like the dark lager Kozel. No flaws! and the aftertaste is soo clean and lovely its almost a little sweet. If anyone knows where an American can find this in America please tell me. I've been trying dark lagers and stouts from the States, Great Britain, Germany, Mexico, etc. trying to find one that can match Kozel and it just ain't happening. If you go to Prague, head for a pub with the sign of the goat right over the door!!!

I'm in Australia and am fortunate enough to have Kozel as a reasonably easy to find imported beer at the larger bottle shops (liquor stores). It's actually quite reasonably priced for an imported beer (especially since it comes in a 500mL bottle). I agree the dark larger is their best, but their premium is also worth a try.
