The Strangest of the Strange
Whoa - there are some REALLY odd beers out there. So inexplicably strange that you have to check the label to confirm that barley and hops were somehow involved in it's creation. Strange can be good, but it seems more often it isn't.

drifting_adam Although for strange beer my mind immediately gravitates towards Belgium and beers like Kriek (Cherry Beer). Or perhaps Kwak, with it's overly gimmicky rounded mini-yard glass that causes the beer to "Quack" (i.e. make a pleasing bubbling sound as air escapes:(http://www.bullz-eye.com/beer/2008/kwak.htm).
>But no, for the most astoundingly odd (and frankly undrinkable) beer, I'll put my weight behind "Bandidos Tequila (Beer)". I believe Bandidos is quite well known for it's Tequila, so they branched out and got a pretty average lager, dropped in an unconscionable volume of sugar and rather average lemon essence and a faint whiff of tequila. I encountered this one in Slovenia last year and, being unable to resist trying any beer I've not seen before, gave it a swig while enjoying the view across Lake Bled. Could scarcely believe my taste buds. Odd...odd..odd..and pretty damn average.
