Found an interesting new food/culinary tour... www.thebarcelonataste.com will take you to a few of the best local and often overlooked spots. Definitely a good way to get to know certain neighborhoods, local food culture and eat your heart out while you're at it.

The city was smart enough to leave this basketball court where it was once they finished building the new library next to it. Well done. Now they just need to put in some benches....

Living in Barcelona for just over a month this summer and would love to learn about the city in its true form. This will be my fiance and I's first time, but we're already falling in love with Barcelona!

Hi, I'm glad to discover this group because I agree, Barcelona is best! I'm nine months into a year-long round-the-world journey with my husband and two kids, and we just spent 10 days in Barcelona, concluding it's our favorite city so far. (However, we have yet to reach Italy, so I may qualify that statement later :-) ). If anyone wants details and photos on why Barcelona is fabulous, recommendations of where to go and what to do while there, please check out our blog post http://away-together.com/2010/03/30/drinking-up-barcelona/

How tough is it to get tix to FC Barcelona games? There is one on the 24th I'd like to go to. Or, is there a bar or two that is great for watching the matcha at?

Looking for a great souvenir shop:

If you are looking for a collection of fun and original souvenirs, WaWas is a must see during your stay in Barcelona. I love Wawa´s souvenirs because they are so original. They are not your typical image captured of Tibidabo or the Barcelonesa beaches. Their perspecitve and point of view are extremely unique. Their images were first intended for postcards but they have now ventured to mugs, plates, magnets and even Chocolate bars! What better way to remember Barcelona than having the image of a postcard as you consume some divine chocolate from Xocoa, a famous chocolate shop with locations all over the city. Located in the center of the city, walking distance from Plaza Catalunya Picasso Museum, Las Ramblas, and the old city, it is extremely easy to find yourself very close to the store during your stay in Barcelona. I also love their collection of guidebooks because they are not your typical assortment. They offer books that are gear...
