Brazil 2010
As I'm planning a riverboat trip starting from Iquitos/Peru to Santarem/Brazil I really would appreciate if someone has tips or trics to do or to avoid. Most of the time I travel alone, but for parts of the trips I would like to travel with soulmate(s)
I've been in South America more than once.
But it will be the first time I visit Brazil.
If there is anyone who wants to join me... Give a sign...
Part of the trip ?
I'm not that young and not that old. I can enjoy and relax when possible. But face problems when necessary.
I leave Belgium on 07 april 2010. I booked a cabin on a container ship and will arrive in Lima 2 may 2010.
From there I will travel to the Cordillera Blanca and the Central Highlands. Than southwards to Arequipa and Cusco to meet a friend.
Probably to Puerto Maldonado...
IThen to Iquitos. I am planning to go to the Amazon forest (around Iquitos) for about a week. Staying in a lodge. Then take the Amazon river boat for travelling through the Brazil Amazon (to Manaus or Santarem). And then overland (bus) to other
parts of the country. Ending in Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
3 - 4 weeks in Brazil (before I go back to Belgium, my home country).
So I am looking for co-travellers - especially for the Brazilian part, but in Peru as well - who want to combine the advantages of solo travel and small group travel (safety, combined bookings etc...)
Anyone can join. Male. Female. Younger. Older. Except for being young at heart and willing to have that "once in a lifetime" experience.
No high budgets and low profile travelling with a lot of contact with local people.
Besides Dutch and French I speak English and some Spanish.
