Backpacker budget tips and trip report

Hi!
I just got back from a backpacker trip through Barbados, St Lucia, St Vincent and Grenada. As you would have guessed we met zero other backpackers during our three week trip and I guess I depends on the budget involved. It can be done cheaper than people think though and me and my wife spent 3000USD total excluding airfare. You can get flights between the islands with LIAT for under 150USD and we flew in from Europe to Barbados from London which was way cheaper than from other airports.

What to expect in Grenada in June/July

Hi all! My fiance and I have just about decided on Grenada as a honeymoon location for June/July. I know it's the rainy season, but from what I've read, it's not too bad in June/July (we don't have our exact dates set), and we'd prefer a less crowded time anyway. We're looking for any general advice on where to stay, what to do, etc. We'd love to be able to swim, hike, kayak, snorkel, fish, and visit some attractions on the island.

What part of Grenada do you recommend if we're looking for…

Supermarket in St. Georges

Hello again,

Looking for a supermarket/store that takes credit cards to provision a boat, need basic food stuff. Do supermarkets sell beer as well. Where is a good place to buy fresh fish/seafood. Does the fruit/veg Saturday morning market sell other food stuff as well.

Thanks,

Carnival 2013

Hello,

I am getting confusing information regarding the dates of the 2013 carnival in Grenada, it prompts me to August....while Cariacou's celebration is from Feb 8 - 12, which coincides with the dates that we will be there. Can someone offer some comments.

Thanks a lot,
