After all the things went wrong, we hope, we are ready to go in second week of October, we know it may be very cold and we can't swim, but still will it be boring?
If it will be a bit sunny and about 20-22 degrees we may swim too. But if not, it is enough to see beautiful villages and places and have dinner in really good taverns, we will be happy! So, does it still worth it?
We don't want to go so far from Turkey and also we've seen Thessaloniki, Meteora and Kavala before... so, we…
IMPORTANT!! This info just posted on Trip Advisor & I have cut & pasted from there:
URGENT -- Due to a 48-hour strike almost all domestic flights for next two days (Thursday & FRiday) have been cancelled by AEGEAN & OLYMPIC. phone #s (calling within greece) 801 11 20000 for aegean, 8018010101 for olympic
It's last-minute, many people will not even know a flight is canceled &..many will lose flights home. ..there's still time for people in islands to catch a ferry back to athens and avoid…
My husband and I recently returned from Milos & Folegandros. We enjoyed it so much, we've already booked our flights for next September. We are planning on 11 days on Naxos and Koufonisia(simply because we really enjoyed our beach days on Milos). As you can guess, we are early planners.
I'd like advice on how many days we should plan for each island. We are planning to fly into Naxos, stay a few days, ferry to Koufonisi, stay a few days, ferry back and stay a few more days before flying back…
Hoping for your opinions on which area to stay in Corfu!
We have 4 nights in Corfu (July 9th - July 13th 2017).
We have 5 adults and 2 children (6 and 8 years old).
I have done lots of research but can't work which area to stay - it looks like there are many beautiful palces!!
What we would like:
close to a beach
close to tavernas
3-4 bedroom villa with private pool
We would also like to have a little explore of Corfu old town.
We don't need to…
I am seeking advice concerning finding a hotel on Naxos. We will be there for 5 nights in June.
We would like something in or within walking distance of the old town. A lot of quaint Greek charm would be a big plus. Being at a hotel on the beach is not the primary purpose of the visit, but we would like to visit beaches, and if a hotel happened to be on the beach and was still close to the old town, that could be a plus but is not essential. A nice pool would also be a plus but is not…
Will be traveling to Greece and am wondering if I should get Euros before I go from my bank, or just use ATM's like I usually do. I've read there are some tight withdraw limits on ATM's in Greece. Does that apply to foreigners?
I am planning a short trip to athens in late november for my bf's birthday and am trying to find a reliable/good hiking or adventures agency to plan a day around athens hiking, canyoning, or rock climbing.
I've only found "Trekking hellas"; they seem ok but don't have too many 1-2 day options. I'm wondering if anyone has any other suggestions of similar agencies?
We're both quite active and fit but as we are only traveling for 5 days will not have any gear with us; this is why I am…
We're hoping to go to Milos as part or our honeymoon in July 2017 but on Aegean and Olympic websites flight schedules beyond March are unavailable. I have tried contacting the airlines but have had mo response. Does anyone know when the summer 2017 flight schedules will be available, or better still, roughly what they might be? I cannot risk waiting months to book the flight to Athens and a hotel but equally, I cannot book a flight to Athens or a hotel on MIlos without knowing the times and days…
Next November I'll go to Greece. My main aims are Athos, Athens, Saloniki, Meteora. I'd like to dedicate a day, at least to the wildlife. But, my time is limited. So, any suggsestion of a daytrip of birdwatching from any Athens or Saloniki?
By the way, I'll carry only binoculars, not spoting scope.
Thanks in advance
