Hello Everyone! I need some advice.... I'm cheap as hell and I don't want to pay the 18 Euro metro (Two People) from Monastiraki to Athens Airport. It says that I can go to Koropi, the stop before the airport for only 1.40 Euro a person. Now, I might seem crazy but why in the hell is it hiked up so much just to go one more stop? Is there another option I have here? Can I take it to Koropi and then take a taxi to the airport? If you got options, I would love to listen. I appreciate the help…
Note it is now only possible to get to Phaestos by bus from Heraklion (the bus to Matala) by asking the driver to divert there which he should do according to the Heraklion Tourist Office. Coming back you must tell the driver which bus from Matala you propose to catch and he will (supposedly) arrange for that driver to divert to pick you up.
I have to admit chickening out.
How reliable are the KTEL buses? I'm looking to take a 4 pm bus from Delphi to Athens, which is supposed to take 3 hours, but need to get to the port for a ferry leaving at 9 pm. Worried I may not make it, but it looks like the only earlier bus leaves at 11 am, which doesn't leave me much time there. Any thoughts whether they generally meet their scheduled arrival time? Thank you for any help!
Are there any travel agencies that arrange for a day tour of Patmos? I'm thinking of flying to Leros and was interested in taking a high speed catamaran to Patmos, to be able to tour the sites there, then in the late afternoon/evening return to Leros/ or Kos. Does anyone know if this is possible to do?
Hi, I am travelling to Kythira in September and as I am travelling by myself I would like to find some place to stay that has some night life. Also I would like to find out places of interest that I could visit.
I would like to know the best way to to to Cape Sounion from Athens Piraeus (Port). I understand there are no trains (let me know otherwise) but there are several buses.
Please help me with Bus Routes and from where can I board these buses? How much are they and how do I buy the tickets ?
Thanks a lot in advance!
I am in Corfu doing volunteer work on a small farm. I am looking to meet up with other Americans, or English speakers to curb the home sickness. I have a spontaneous work schedule and limited transportation.
