I am wondering if I can get some opinions on our honeymoon plans to the Greek Islands.
My fiance and I have about 2 weeks and are coming from the US. Here is what we are thinking so far:
Atehns 2 nights then fly to Crete
Crete 4-5 nights then fly (or ferry?) to Santorini
Santorini for 3-4 nights then ferry to Mykonos
Mykonos for 2 nights. Fly home (via Athens)
What do you think about this itinerary? Is it possible? We are active and ok with moving from place to place, but I don't want to…
Can anyone tell me the hours that Mystras is open in May? A
lso, I vaguely recall seeing someplace something about you can use your ticket to get back in the next day - is this true? Anyone know the details?
I have done a search of the forums and a google search but am still not coming up with answers, so hoping some people on here can help me with working out the best way to do Athens to Delphi to Meteora to Thessalonki.
I am hoping to go to the Cyclades in September with some friends, we are hoping to do some day excursions to some of the other islands in the group but we are struggling to decide which island we should use as a 'base' e.g which island we should have our hotel on. The Island needs to have good ferry options to the other parts of the Cyclades and it would be nice if there was some form of nightlife for the evenings, bars and restaurants and the like (not necessarily clubs).
Any help on…
we will be in athens in late May. it appears that the air fare from athens to tirana is reasonable enough $115 . does anyone have experience with the flights? ea\y enough or a hassle?
My family are coming over from NZ and we are going to head over to Greece for a week in September. There will be 5 of us in total and it's just going to be a chilled out/catching up trip. I have been given the job of trying to find somewhere to stay but I don't really know much about Greece. Can anyone recommend a nice area to stay that is close to the attractions but is not super crowded. Santorini always looks amazing but is it expensive? If anyone can suggest places that would be…
Can anyone suggest a hotel that's reasonably priced (about $50-75 US), that is not very far from the airport, where I could take a taxi at 4:30 in the morning to catch an early flight? I would like to arrive at this hotel by taking a bus or metro from central Athens. Thanks!
