The busiest and most popular beach on Ios used to be littered with people sleeping rough to avoid paying for accommodation. It's still busy and parties still prevail, but sleeping here is no longer allowed. Popular for good reason, the beach is long, sandy and safe, with a good smattering of watersports centres, cafes and places to stay.

Mylopotas is a beach for everyone!

On the very best location on the island, Mylopotas beach is one of the most beautiful and most visited beaches on Ios. It is a long beach, with beautiful golden send and amazing sea! There are sunbeds and umbrellas on every step, and a lot of water sport centers tactically placed along the beach. I have enjoyed some crazy rides, and would recommend to anyone interested in this kinda of fun. My very favorite thing about Mylopotas Beach is the fact that there is space for everyone-all age groups. On the beach there are some fantastic bars and restaurants that you can visit, just to get a little break for the sun. :) my personal favorite by a long shot is this amazing bar/Italian restaurant called Karma Beach Bar-a chill out place were I spend most of my days. They offer some fab meals, and the cocktails are a MUST try!
all in all, despite the beauty of any beach on Ios, I give my vote to Mylopotas in a heart bit! relaxing for those who choose a nice tanning and swimming and fun on every corner for those who want to party 24/7.2 thumbs up!
