This recently refurbished place on the corner of the square is popular with locals around the district. The owner fishes from his own boat and the menu also includes Cretan specialities.

    The restaurant is right on the water-front at the corner of the main square in Elounda. I have been many times, and have always found the food to be very good, and the service to be excellent. The menu is quite varied, with a good choice of local dishes, to more cosmopolitan fare. The owner Dimitis is a real character and is always very welcoming. It is a popular restaurant for holidaying couples and families to enjoy a meal, but also I have often seen large gatherings of 'locals' eating there. I always think is a good sign to see a restaurant frequented by local people.
