Welcome to the UK, described by Lonely Planet in the latest UK guide as "simply one of the most beautiful islands on earth". You'll find that whilst people can appear flippant and/or sarcastic on this branch, it's only part of the unique British sense of humour so don't take it personally.
Please read this thread first before you ask a question, hopefully you'll find your answer already inside!

As I stated in the post just below, I am heading to heading to London this summer for a little over a week. I am a (part-time) Britisher, but it's been over 6 years since I was last in sunny old England. In the meantime, amongst other things, I spent one year traveling around India. Now, I am something of a colonial history buff, and I expended all kinds of energy in India running around visiting places of interest connected to British India, from the well-known to the utterly…
I have a little over a week to spend in London this summer. London is a city I know well, having lived there on and off for a number of years, but I haven't stepped foot in the place (or indeed in Europe at all) since 2010. I know nothing of the London hostel scene, but I need cheap accommodation, so I presume I'll be heading to a hostel. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't care what the atmosphere is like. All I want is a good night's sleep, and somewhere reasonably…
My flight arrives at 7:20am and I want to catch the NE bus to Bath at 8:20am. I will not be checking luggage. Flight arrives from USA Terminal 3 where bus station is located. Is this crazy or doable?
Would like to seek advise on travelling to middle east countries and India while on the sex offender register in the UK.
Any experienced travellers who are currently on the SOR and have been to these countries please feel free to share your experience. Thank you.
Does anyone know a cheap and easy way to stay the night between two flights at/near Stansted airport? (I've done the sleeping outside security bit, but that was from missing a flight, try to plan better this time :) Tripadvisor and the rest only give hotels and B&Bs but doesn't say anything about getting there and away (early in the morning), unless there is a taxi possibility, which is probably the same price as a cheap overnight. Been thinking along the lines of a pub with only one or…
My girlfriend is Mexican and after searching and finding that she requires no Visa for up to a 6 month visit, we have bought plane tickets for her to come here for 5 months (start of August until the start of January). I assumed that it would be fairly certain she would get in with no problems but I googled the other day and found some stories about people getting turned away at the border and ever since I've felt a bit sick with worry she won't be let in.
I think we should meet all…
I`m planning to do The Affric Kintail Way next June starting in Drumnadrochit, does anyone knows where I can buy Primus gas recharges in Drumnadrochit?
Thanks a lot! ;)
