Welcome to the UK, described by Lonely Planet in the latest UK guide as "simply one of the most beautiful islands on earth". You'll find that whilst people can appear flippant and/or sarcastic on this branch, it's only part of the unique British sense of humour so don't take it personally.

My apologies for what is surely a dumb (though short) question, but why would anyone ever purchase a 1-day Travelcard if it costs 12 pounds and the regular Oyster Card has a 6 pound daily limit?
I was not able to find an answer on a search, although I did find a good deal of helpful information on 7-day Travelcards.
I would really appreciate your help. I currently hold a UK Ancestry Visa which expires in August, 2019. I would like to apply for indefinite leave to remain prior to the expiry of my visa, however in order to do so I must have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years. I did not arrive in the UK until October 2014, which means there is a 2 month discrepancy between my visa expiring and me having lived in the UK for 5 years.
If anyone has experienced this, can you please explain to me…
I'm going to Dublin for work end of september, and I thought of leaving early to explore Wicklow NP, hiking.
I'll have about 3full days (friday-sunday, including getting there and away) and will be relying on public transport and sleeping in a tent along the way. Any suggestions about an interesting route I'd be able to do in that amount of time?
I really appreciate if you can advise me regarding our next upcoming UK trip mid August (last minute)
We have already visited UK before ( London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Aberdeen) in the past. and we are looking for some new experience. We enjoyed the fabulous London and the stunning Edinburgh the most.
I'm traveling this time with my parents and 2 adults sisters for a total of 12 days, and what we are looking for is 3 nice cities of your choice. I have been browsing…
So I basically applied for the 23 month working holiday visa instead of the 12 month visa that i wanted to. because of the difference of length of stay the 23 month visa requires two health certificates that i need to get completed in a very small amount of time, 14 days I believe. Because I am a uk resident and i just don't know the rules, can i just dissolve this application and apply again? it seems it would be easier and maybe cheaper even to pay the £111 application fee again. Just running…
I would like information regarding 7 days pass using the Oyster card. I've attempted researching but there is no mention
of such a pass. Is it available? I'll visit London within a week. Many thanks!
My grandson is going on holiday tmrw but visa expired. Passport office Newport Cardiff no help. Is there a last minute way around this or is there a foreign office branch in Cardiff please.
