Question is - best way to travel between Accra and Ho, specifically the university UHAS in Ho. It'll be on business so taxi or similar would prob be preferable. Would rather not hire our own car. Also would be a day trip, heading to Ho in the morning, coming back later in the day.
How much would it cost roughly? (Would prob need taxi/driver for best part of a whole day I guess?)
Thanks for any help!
Hi, I hope to get some responses / feedback on the subject topic since the Ghana forum here has been pretty active
Quite nervous about mailing my passport over to them, based on the reviews I have read from Yelp. Even read a review of someone who didnt get their passport back at all (eeks!!) bc the embassy lost it somehow.
And emailing them has been a futile exercise as they have chosen to ignore me completely after one curt reply which doesnt even answer my question, and I dont think they pick…
I'm traveling to Winneba for work and would like to visit Cape Coast for one night, before heading to Accra. Does anyone know the best method to travel from Winneba>CapeCoast>Accra cities (bus, taxi)? Also, how long does each trip take about (so I can make sure to catch my flight in Accra on time)?
I am thinking about doing a short trip (2 weeks) to Ghana at the end of March and begining of April, have read a bit on Ghana and checked the forum (especially the wonderful report from marylin13 here. Still, I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone who have been there could answer.
Itinerary - I would like to do Accra, old forts and beaches on the coast (Cape Coast/Elmina/Busua), Kumasi, Volta region (Wli falls, Amedzofe). To me this seems like a reasonable balance of different regions…
I´m flying to Accra on 18 mars, return april 12, and I wan´t to visit som of the West african countries. Problem is visa because there no embassy nearby so I would prefer a Visa on arrival or a transit visa and go to Togo, where I Can get visa on the border. How abort this Visa d´Entente, still on? For a Visa on arrival I need an entry permit and I get no answer fr.o.m. Immigration in Ghana or embassy in Copenhagen how to get that or possibility of a transit visa. Has anyone information about…
I will be travelling from South Africa via Kenya and Ghana to my final destination in Sierra Leone.
Is one able to obtain a transit visa on arrival (VOA) in GHANA or does this need to be pre-arranged?
Your assistance would be appreciated.
I travel with Ecuador passport. Have an invitation letter from a Nigerian friend offering me even the lodging. I filled out the online application and paid while in Abidjan only to hear from the embassy there that they don't issue visas to non residents. The same story I am hearing now in Freetown Nigeria embassy.
Do you know whether Nigeria embassy in Accra is currently issuing tourist visa to non-residents as one post said? I am hoping to go to Burkina and Niger (still do not have invitation…
I have recently recieved the new edition of this guide, (edition no 7, published November 2016)
It is an excelllent guide. Not just on the day to day practicalities of travel, accommodation and food. It contains comprehensive historical, political and cultural information that would be of interest not only to first time visitors but also, I believe, (and perhaps especially so!) to long term residents of the country.
The cost of this guide is insignificant compared to the overall cost of a visit…

I own a brand that empowers people to live their fiercest life! I have a product that are called Armor, aka intention bracelets made using African Trade Beads to support women in Africa. I am coming in March to do a short documentary on the process of how the beads are made and to speak with the women who make them. I have found Cedi's Bead Factory as well as the Market and have not been able to make a connection with their contacts. Does anyone know of how to locate the women who make the…
