Incongruously located above a fast-food court, Monsoon is Accra's most upscale restaurant. The menu includes interesting items like warthog filet and crocodile tail. You may get snooty looks if you're dressed for tro-tros (minibuses or pick-ups). A more casual cigar lounge and sushi bar is attached.

    Decent sushi; decent atmosphere.

    The outside patio is nice and inviting, it lets you forget you are in polluted & congested Accra for a bit. For Monsoon to be considered an upscale place, there was no host/hostess and the service was slow. The menu overall had lots to choose from but there was nothing on the menu that was not expensive. Another thing I didn't like is that there was not a designated smoking section on the rooftop.

    I had a simple sushi roll which was tasty. I was taken aback to find that they had no spicy mayo or eel sauce so I just made do with the soy sauce and wasabi.
