    Clean, comfy, air conditioned

I was very happy staying here, actually ecstatic because prior to that I had stayed in a village with no running water at all, and no electricity for most of the time I was there. Frankie's has air conditioning, tvs in each room with cable, totally functional bathrooms, a real bed with sheets, and real walls that kept outside noises outside. My room had no windows but I honestly, truly didn't care because it kept the room darker and quieter and I was way overstimulated every time I went out. Our room was a single room, but all of their beds are double beds. We were confused on that point because we thought a single room only actually slept one person, and we got an extra room we didn't need. The double room has two double beds, and the one my family was in did have a really large window that took up most of one wall. They did let us get rid of the extra room no problem, but there was some minor problem when we arrived with our reservation. That happened more than once on the trip - the reservations didn't quite mean our rooms were going to be there. There were always some rooms for us, but not the ones we asked for.

The laundry service was an issue - the first quote we were given for how much the laundry was going to cost was insane, $50 US for less than one load. It seemed different from other haggling situations because the laundry guy actually wrote down a list of each item and showed us a paper printed out with how much an item costs. Usually stuff wasn't written down like that so we were afraid at first that we really had to pay that. We were so shocked at the price that we said no way and he halved it, and then we got some bargaining help from someone with more experience who got him to change it to cedis instead of US dollars. It was still a lot of money for laundry when we could have walked down the street and gotten it done for like $5.

If you stay there, you get one meal ticket for a single room and two for a double. The food was plentiful! And very Western. Without the meal ticket, it would have been very expensive to eat there.

Good selection of North American food but way overpriced!

    kaylorraine44 does not recommend this,

My friends and I popped our heads into this place but found the food way overpriced! Most of the food is about 20 cedi or more so we ended up walking down the street to Papaye which is like a little fast food joint (that's a lot cheaper!).

overpriced and mediocre food. but decent for people watching

Was not a huge fan of the food - there are better options for that price in Osu. That being said, everyone in Accra knows Frankies, so it's worth popping your head into at least. And if you're terribly homesick for Western food, this could be the place for you...
