Lonely Planet review
Located halfway between the city centre and the trade fair grounds, this hotel was clearly designed with the suit brigade in mind, although it's also a decent base for city explorers, especially at weekends when crowds thin out.
Quite a lot of thought has gone into the design here, which convincingly imports cheerfully exuberant Mediterranean flair to central Europe. The elegant lobby seamlessly transitions into the breakfast room, creating the impression of spaciousness that, alas, does not continue in the 100 rooms. These are all identical in decor and dimension, which is about the size of a small cruise ship cabin. This is fine if you're travelling solo, but if there are two of you, leave that big luggage trunk at home. However, the decor is bright, the beds comfortable and the soft drinks in the mini-bar free, so it's all really ok if you just need a reasonably priced roof over your head. For more space, shoot for one of the five corner rooms (sold as 'apartments', but don't be fooled).
