On a quiet, residential street in the southern part of the city, not far from the epic Battle of Nations Monument, awaits this modern and immaculate hotel that delivers four-star comfort at three-star prices.

Although the location 6km south of the centre may seem 'out there', a tram ride quickly puts you into the thick of things. Best of all, the trip is free, thanks to the transportation pass you'll be handed at check-in. The surprisingly modest rates buy modern, over-sized rooms with attractive if somewhat generic furniture. Not only workaholics will appreciate the large desks, free wi-fi and energy-sustaining coffee and tea bar. Those needing extra legroom can book a two-story 'maisonette' with separate living and sleeping quarters and a bathroom on each floor. Some units have kitchen and/or balcony. The restaurant serves a generous breakfast buffet and classic Saxon meals at dinnertime, in fine weather on the garden-style terrace. There's a small fitness room for working off the carbs and a basic sauna for unwinding.
