A crackling fireplace greets you in the spacious lobby, housed in a 16th-century mill that has also seen stints as a ballroom and a popular restaurant. Dining well is again a priority here since the Pattis family renovated and enlarged the space. A casual bistro serves light international cuisine, but for a special treat book a table at the gourmet restaurant where Mario Pattis creates fanciful cuisine based on time-tested recipes from the Saxon court. All dishes are served on genuine Meissen porcelain. Afterwards you can retire to your large, elegant room with fresh fruit and flowers and nostalgic bathrooms with polished brass fixtures.
