The main bus station is along Mauerstrasse just west of Neustrasse; single tickets are €1.30.

Parking enforcement is quite stringent, so use the car parks on the fringes of the Altstadt (such as near Elbtour and along ­Fleischerstrasse).

You’ll find some rickshaw operators around town who are willing to take you to far-flung attractions such as the Hundertwasserschule. For bike rental, head to Fahrradhaus Kralisch (403 703; www.fahrradhaus-kralisch.de, in German; Jüdenstrasse 11).
