Getting around
Trier has a comprehensive bus system (01801-993366; www.vrt-info.de, in German) but the city centre is easily explored on foot. Single tickets/day passes, sold by drivers, cost €1.55/4.25. The Olewig Wine District is served by buses 6, 16 and 26.
Bikes can be rented at Radstation Bahnhof (148 856; per day €7.50-10; 9am-7pm Apr-Oct, 10am-6pm Mon-Fri Nov-Mar), inside the Hauptbahnhof next to track 11.
