Rhine Valley, Moselle Valley, Ahr Valley: they're pretty familiar, often asked about on the Forum (and there's a reason for it) and ... crowded. But in the area, south of Cologne and east of Bonn there's a less wellknown (and therefore? very quiet) magnificent valley, the Siegtal.
The magnificent landscape formed by small rolling hills is very interesting for them who love cycling, hiking and canoeing. Even a swim is possible at some places and the Allner See (Lake) near Hennef.

We're a group of 4 coming to Oktoberfest from the USA and are looking to share reservations in one of the beer tents on either Sept 17, 18, or 19. The problem is that most places have a 10 person minimum.
We can book a place, like Ochsenbraterei, which still has seats available to reserve for Monday the 19th, and then you can reimburse us for however many people you are,
If you have booked a reservation for any of those dates and have bought more tickets than you will end up using, please…
Every year I reserve some tables at the Oktoberfest in Munich and this year there are a few seats remaining:
-Two seats left for Schottenhamel. Thur Sept 22 at 15.15-18.15.
-One seat for Marstall Friday Sept 23 at 15.00-18.00 .
- For Saturday sept 24 Armbrustschuetzen 10-16 currently full but will be some cancellations probably.
Let me know by private message if interested
Prices will be face value, you basically pay for a certain amount of beer and food, approx 40 euro per session

Hi! Greetings from Seattle!
Hoping to lean on some of you for expert knowledge about where we might choose to stay for 3 night as we transition from a cycle tour finishing in Passau to a cycle tour finishing in Strasbourg. We'll be traveling with our 7 year old, who cycles flat routes with us in a Weehoo recumbent trail-a-bike.
Background: We've previously visited Bertchesgaden and loved it. What we would do if we decide on Bertchesgaden again: 1) ride the boats 2) hike down from the Jenner…
This is a very random post, but I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a Scalibor collar for my dog in Munich. We recently arrived in Germany with our dog from Canada and are hoping to find a collar for her as soon as possible, since she has already got 5 wood ticks since arriving here 4 days ago. We went to the vet and the pet store, but neither carry them. Does anyone from Munich know where we can buy one? Online is a challenge since we are traveling to a new destination…
I'm Sandeep Chaurasiya, I'm Indian and living in New Delhi, India.
I want to visit my girlfriend who in German and lives in Germany.
Her family is inviting me there, they would like to sponsor all the expenses I would have there in Germany.
Can somebody please let me know what documents I'll need to have to get a visa for that?
Thanks in advance,
I'll be in Germany in September before Oktoberfest, arriving in Berlin and departing from Munich. Will rely on rail/public transport for side trips (including Dresden and Leipzig), so no car. If it were you, would you spend a fourth day in Berlin or Munich? My main interests are art, architecture, history, and beer. TIA
Hi, I'm planning to travel to (and around) Germany in March/April 2017. I originally planned on buying a round trip ticket from Texas (where I live) to Frankfurt because the flights were direct and less than 800 USD. In a week and a half the price has jumped over 200 dollars and I'm wondering if I should just buy the tickets now instead of waiting for the price to go down but that time never coming.
By the way, the places around Germany I'd like to go to are The Netherlands, Poland, Czech…
