Land

Car & motorcycle

If coming from the west – Lübeck, Wismar or Rostock – avoid travelling on the slow B105. Instead get on the A20, or take the B110 from Rostock to the B194 (via Bad Sülze) and head north. From points east, you’ll use the B96.

Train

Regional trains travel to/from Rostock (€11.70, 1¼ hours), Berlin-Hauptbahnhof (from €32.30, 3½ hours) and Hamburg (from €34.60, 3½ hours) at least every two hours. There are frequent trains to Sassnitz (from €9.10, 50 minutes) and Binz (from €9.10, 50 minutes), on Rügen Island.
