  1. Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme

    If the historic Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme had been around in Dostoevsky's day, maybe he'd have written a story called The Sauna and not The Gambler . For many this spa complex, dating from 1913, is Wiesbaden's finest attraction. Tuesday is for women only; nudity is de rigueur all days of the week.

  2. Kurhaus Wiesbaden

    Inaugurated in 1907 by Kaiser Wilhelm II, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden is a restored classical building that's been converted into the city's main theatre, convention centre and casino. To do a Dostoevsky in the gambling quarters, men will need a jacket and tie.

  3. Museum Wiesbaden

    One of the three Hessian state museums, Museum Wiesbaden houses a natural history exhibition, a fine display of Nassauian antiquities and a comprehensive art collection with many paintings by Russian expressionist Alexei Jawlensky, who lived in Wiesbaden from 1921 until his death in 1941.
