Regular (but not all) ICEs plying the main north–south and Frankfurt–Erfurt lines stop at Fulda from Frankfurt (€26, one hour) or Kassel (€26, 30 minutes). Fulda can be reached by the A7, which runs north towards Kassel and south to Würzburg. There’s plenty of secure garage parking around town, and metered parking that’s free from 6pm to 8am alongside the post office on Heinrich-von-Bibra-Platz.
