Hi fellow travelers!
Solo female backpacker here. My flight from Venice to Abu Dhabi will have an eight-hour layover in Dusseldorf. It will be my first time to see Germany even only for 8 hours and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to have a day trip to Dusseldorf and still make it back to the airport in time for my flight. Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate them.
Hello all! We are planning a trip to Germany next April for 8-9 days. Below is our tentative itinerary – would you mind taking a look and letting me know your thoughts? All advice welcome. We are looking for something that’s interesting, but not too taxing in terms of hopping around from place to place.

Hello, I'm from Mexico and have a couple of free days to visit the Oktoberfest for the first time. I have all information regarding the event, the tents, schedules etc. but have heard it gets really crowded so I was hoping someone could enlighten me with more info about how it is. I know Sunday (Sep 25th) will be a very busy day and will try to be there as early as possible (8 A.M.). Lets say I got inside a certain tent very early and after 3 hours I want to move for another tent, will it be…

If our work schedules allow it, my wife and I may make our first-ever trip to Germany in early-to-mid December. We of course realize that Germany is a vast, diverse country, and so we would only attempt to visit perhaps one fourth of the country this time, with hopes of returning in the future. One region we would likely include in our trip is Franconia, on the theory that it is more-or-less equally enjoyable in cold or warm weather, as its main attractions are cities and towns, and as its…
I have never used Flixbus myself, but based on mostly positive feedback and cheapest rates, i have decided to take the flixbus for my eurotrip next week. I will be using it a lot and i have been keeping a good eye on the rates. The rates seems to be fluctuating but i could not figure out a pattern. What i am looking for are cheapest rates possible for overnight journeys. You see, i am on an extremely tight budget and looking for further cost cuttings.
I will be staying in Frankfurt (23rd sept -…
We are thinking of a cycling holiday next summer and just wondering where are the best areas to base ourselves.
I have been looking at some self catering properties in the Koblenz, Cocham, Boppard areas. Where would be a good place to stay so that we can easily pick up some of the cycling trails along the river?
We are just thinking of doing short rides (up to around 20 miles) and we have 2 young children who will be 3 and 5 then.
Does anyone have any good recommendations of nice places to stay?
I'll be in Berlin from the end of September till the begining of October
and I'd love to go HIKING / TREKKING for a few days not far from the city
I'm not looking for day trips but for more of an adventure.
Does anyone know a good place to find some good nature areas? prefferably mountains... :)
