Hi, I have a few weeks in Europe in September this year, and although I really enjoy train trips I am trying to balance that with the limited time. I am trying to work out the best way to get from Berlin to Krakow, either train or flying..
Is there an opportunity for a good train journey and potentially stopping over in Poznan or Warsaw for a night (or just a few hours)?
Alternatively, would I be better to fly from Berlin to Warsaw or Poznan and stay for a night and catch the train to Krakow? Or…
I'm looking out for some insider information tips on the modern/contempory arts scene.
Are there any major exhibitions right now I shouldn't miss out? Any small but very worthwhile galeries?
Thanks for the help! Also a small line about the Berlin museum scene is much appreciated.
Hi, was wondering where would be best for a long weekend out of the following places (getting good deals on each) Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich, Colongne, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Milan or Amsterdam. It's a boys weekend away so looking for what would be best for beers/pubs/nightlife etc. Thanks in advance 👍.
I'm traveling from Brussels to Berlin in September over two days and I'd love some advice on the best place to stay overnight. I arrive in Brussels around midday and would love to get about 2 or 3 hours into the drive that afternoon. I'm not sure whether to go south via Cologne/Dusseldorf/Bonn or north via Hanover... I'd love a scenic route if possible- I'm Australian so any sort of European countryside is pretty but the prettier the better- I'm more than happy to get off the…
Hello, we are part of a two couple motorcycle tour through the Alps from July 7-17, and the very experienced other couple has had to back out due to a medical emergency, which leaves us on our own. My traveling partner is an experienced rider so I'm not worried about that part - it's the getting around the Alps part that I'm concerned about. We have maps and have done quite a bit of research, but it would be nice to ride with others at least one day. Do any of you know of some other…
How relaible is pegasus? Do they cancel their flights often? I don't care that much about them not serving food etc. I just need reliability. Because i may fly with them to Stuttgart from Tehran (connection of 2 hours in Istanbul) and then i have around 11 hours to kill in Stuttgart before flying to Sydney via london. Should i book with them?
We are interested in walking two weeks on the Via Alpina purple trail, starting in the Bavarian Alps to the Slovenia Alps, starting on October 1st.
Does anyone know if this is a good time to hike in this region? I know this is just the end of the recommended time for hiking the Alps.
Also , if someone has any suggestions for other high-quality trails in that are of Europe for this time of year, we'd be happy to hear.
Hello everyone! I am finally onto planning proper for my interrail journey of about 10 days, and I have 2-3 days in germany. I will be coming from amsterdam and moving on to prague after. However, I cannot decide if I should spend my time in Berlin or in Rothenburg!!
As a history buff I am drawn to the medieval vibes of rothenburg but i can't seem to neglect berlin for all its museums as well. Could anyone who has been to these places let me know which one you think is more worth going to as a…
I was wondering whether I need to spend a Saturday night in Fussen before my visit to the castles on a Sunday in August, so I can arrive earlier.
Currently I'm taking 2 buses from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to arrive in Fussen at 9:29am on Sunday. Then I need to drop off my bags at the hotel & take bus 73/78 to Hohenschwangau. So I will arrive by 10:30-11am. Will tickets likely be sold out? I may buy them online but need to pick it up 1 hour before entrance time. I was going to walk around…
