Museen Dahlem information
The days are numbered for this museum complex as its vast ethnological collection is being prepared for the move to the Humboldt-Forum being constructed next to Museum Island in central Berlin. Little by little, exhibits from the Museum of Ethnology and the Museum of Asian Art are being packed up until both will be closed forever in early 2017. The planned opening in the new location is in September 2019. The Museum of European Cultures, however, will remain in Dahlem for the foreseeable future.
