hey there :)

Im trying to help my girlfriend finding an internship in Berlin. She's from Denmark, speaks good English but poor German and studies Master in Intercultural Studies. She looks for an internship in the NGO / non-profit sector. Can you maybe give us some hints where to find Organizations that offer internships (English speaking) or where to start to look? We already tried the big portal "thechanger" and some other webpages what was less effective than we expected. we're a bit stuck…

Hi

My partner and I have tickets for a concert in Frankfurt in July. Based on this we thought we would take a week off and see Germany.

so I wanted to know if this idea works or is too ambitious.

we start in Frankfurt , spend a day and half here. Head to Hamburg on the 2nd night and spend 2 days around the city. 5th morning we head to Berlin and spend the next 3 days and a get a weekend in Berlin and fly out from Munich.

I would like some ideas on what to skip and what to keep.
is it easiest…

Hi all, my family will be spending 5 days in Munich beginning of June. I tried to find a rental service for baby equipment in Munich but had no luck (one place that existed is permanently closed).
Does anyone know of a company or individual that rents baby cots or beds? We would need it from June 1st to June 6th (if one week rental is a minimum that's fine too).
Thank you in advance!

I am arriving Rothenburg at noon. Is it too rush to make a brief glance on the town and leave for Wurzburg for overnight? Seems Rothenburg is a bit touristy and just a tiny town...

NPR (National Public Radio in the United States) has a story today about Cityhostel Berlin. Apparently the building is owned by the government of North Korea:

Hi All,

My husband and I are pretty seasoned travelers who prefer to see off-the-beaten path kinds of places. We have two daughters who are 2 and 5.

This Christmas, we'd like to do a 2-week road trip in Bavaria and the Black Forest. We'll probably be flying in and out of Zurich as that seems cheapest.

Here are my specific questions:

  1. Any recommendations of villages, hikes, parks, castles, etc to see along the way?
  2. I know the Romantic road and the Alpine road are heavily touristed during…

Hi, All,
Am in Basel next week & have to get to Amsterdam in about 4 days. Was wondering about catching a working barge along the Rhine to do this; not a cruise. I have found a German website called Binnenschiffe.de so far but wondered if anyone out there had any other helpful suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Uber is it working in Berlin?
We are three people and so the taxi fares would be divided by 3 so I was thinking that maybe moving by taxi (Uber?) would be more or less the same price that moving by U bahn, am I right?
(I guess just a little bit expensiver but well... even more comfortable)

WE are a family of 4 (teens 18 and 16) on a 2 week road trip and are planning on going to the Rhine - Koblenz, Rudesheim area for 2 nights and one day and would like to hire bikes, but we are there on a Sunday in July and I've heard everything is shut on Sunday. Will it be possible to hire bikes?
