Lonely Planet review for Deutsche Guggenheim

High-brow types will likely prefer to steer straight towards the Deutsche Guggenheim, a small, minimalist gallery spotlighting top-notch contemporary artists, such as Eduardo Chillida and Gerhard Richter.

    Disappointing to say the least...

    hossegor104 does not recommend this,

After paying the entrance fee, we were instructed to leave the building and enter through another door further down the Unter den Linden. Entered the giant exhibition hall and was met with the sight of a giant metal Hindenburg airship, in a similar style to the boat on display at the Guggenheim Bilbao. Went through to what I thought was the next gallery but was in fact the gift shop, this was overpriced and seemed to just sell overpriced Berlin 'tat' the kind of which you can get elsewhere cheaper.
After visiting other Guggenheim museums (in Venice and Bilbao), this felt that they were just putting their name on something rather than striving to have anything worthwhile inside.
Save your money and go to the Pergamon Museum, on Museum Island - genuinely impressive!
