A pleasant pit stop between museums, this place beneath the railway arches has over-the-top religious decor and tasty thin-crust pizzas named after the 12 apostles. All cost a mere €6.90 from 11.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Flame cakes among friends at Friedrichstraße
jetsetgal recommends this,
This pizzeria is a lively dining hall located underneath the Friedrichstraße train station in an old tunnel; the walls often shake when the trains whiz by on the tracks overhead. The religious décor and menu of flammkuchen (literally, 'flame cakes' or thin-crust pizzas) is themed on the 12 apostles. This is definitely not the church of deep-dish pizzas dripping with melted cheese... expect wood-fired-oven, thin-crust pizzas with fresh ingredients, often topped with a garden of greens. There are many varieties of flammkuchen to suit your fancy here... meatlovers, veggie friends or sea-folk. Don't miss the caprese salad - fresh basil, tomatoes and tasty morsels of bocconcini goodness.
This multi-room establishment is filled with long wooden tables and masses of chairs -- perfect for a solo meal of people-watching or supper with 12 of your closest friends. With the devotional décor, the occasional live music, and the rustle and bustle from above, Zwölf Apostel makes for a moving experience.
