Lonely Planet review for Schwarzwaldstuben
The tongue-in-cheek olde-worlde decor is as delicious as the authentic southern German food served in gut-busting portions at this cosy corner joint. We can't get enough of the geschmelzte Maultaschen (sautéed ravioli-like pasta) but all goes down well with a Rothaus Tannenzäpfle beer, straight from the Black Forest.

Excellent German food in typical Berlin atmosphere
zosia13 recommends this,
The décor takes a little to get used to: granny's armchairs to get comfy in, pictures and wooden sculptures of deer and a massive green tile stove. - Old-fashioned Germany if it wasn't for the modern take on typical Southern German dishes and a very relaxed atmosphere. Good value for money - the food really is excellent. It's my favorite restaurant in Berlin Mitte and whoever I've taken there, became a fan, too. Usually it's packed in the evenings, since rather popular with locals and only a stones throw away from tourist-magnet Oranienburger Straße. There's additional seating outside during summer.
