    A good Berliner snack

    danillo recommends this,

The currywurst was pretty good there :D

    Good for: snacks, young people

The Wurst ist ok, but then there's nothing more to do around

    how8888 does not recommend this,

They're selling fairly good Currywurst there (though a little pricey), but after eating, what would you do in this area? There ain't any cool places around. That's why I prefer Curry 7 or Burgermeister, both on lively Schlesische Straße, with very decent Currywurst, too, and beeing cool places in themselves. Not to mention all the bars and pubs around...

    Good for: queuing

    Not good for: the area

Never again, Great marketing, every tourist is there.

    ikin does not recommend this,

Currywurst is sold everywhere in Berlin, this is just a fast food chain equivalent, tastes like any other currywurst yet out of the way and full of tourist.

    Good for: lines, tourist, marketing

Not good for: health conscious, Anyone, fat people

Was ok but slightly over rated

    streeterpingfellow does not recommend this,

Made the journey to test out the Currywurst here. After the much read hype i was slightly disappointed as it was no better than any other places dotted round the city. If you want a quality currywurst then get the Spezial at Kadewe

Not good for: long queues, speed of service

    Cheap but delicious

    nikkay75 recommends this,

I absolutely loved this place! I think my friends and I must have been back at least three times during our stay in Berlin. It is ideal for those on a shoestring budget and those willing to give something new a try.

Good for: Travellers Budget, German Culture, Shoestring Backpackers

Not good for: Families, Lining Up

    Good, but overrated

    riv3r does not recommend this,

OK. The currywurst was good and indeed not very expensive. But what makes this particular one the number 1 thing to do? 'Curry 36, is just a snackbar, or "imbiss", like you will find many more all over Berlin! All of which are not expensive, have nice sausages and good beers.
As a thing to do, try the currywurst museum!!! It is a really fun experience and the complementary "curry in a cup" is a delight. And much more choice in sausages as with curry 36!
So "Curry 36", it's not bad, just a little overrated. Don't waste time looking for this particular imbiss, as other nearer to you serve the same, some even better, food!

Good for: snacks, cheap food, local food

Not good for: rainy days, eveing diner, Evening dinner, big meals

    best curry wurst ever

    kawaimajou recommends this,

i heard about this place from my friend and tried it. It was really good. I came in the morning, around 10 oçlock so it was still empty (no queue). They have several type wurst but try their curry wurst (there's 2 option, with sausage skin and without sausage skin). They will add BBQ sauce on it, so if u dont like BBQ sauce tell it to the seller when u order.

Good for: food lovers, snacks, cheap food, sausages lovers

Not good for: vegetarians, meals, big meal

A nice place, full of nice people.

    branev recommends this,

The queue of people waiting and eating is really long. Definitely go there at least once ;)

Still, for the gourmet people out there - there are other places :) This is a Wurst-place with beer and friendly atmosphere :)

Good for: fast food lovers, solo travelers, traditional food

Not good for: gourmet food, family

    Nice Currywurst but better Kebab

    loui222 recommends this,

If you like Currywurst its a good choice to eat at Curry 36. The German Buletten you can get there are even better then the Currywurst... but if you want to try something really delicious, berlin is even more famous for, you should eat at the Kebabshop infront of Curry 36. Its the best Doener- Kebab in Berlin with a lot of nice Spices and fried vegetables.

Good for: atmosphere, food, Budget Travellers, service

    The most talked about currywurst!

    monikarevilla recommends this,

This is the most famous currywurst in town – and that is no small accomplishment in a city with lots of competition and a demanding public! Even though the place is rather basic, having no seats and no indoor accommodations, it’s bright red and yellow signs are immediately identifiable as you emerge from Mehringdamm’s U-Bahn station. The bustle of people chatting, eating and getting in line takes up most of the sidewalk all day long. However, it’s convenient opening hours make it especially popular at nights when party goers make one final stop to refuel their stomachs before going home. The order is taken through a window where you can see the various chefs cooking at impressive speed. Shortly, the currywurst is handed over to you on a paper plate with a plastic fork. You then join the rest of the clientele standing around the high tables. It’s as authentic as it gets!

Good for: atmosphere, Budget Travellers, Groups, Solo Travellers, service

    Currywurst pilgrimage

    hossegor104 recommends this,

After reading great things about this snackbar and wanting to experience real Berlin food, I took it upon myself to hunt down Curry 36. The imbiss is close to Mehringdamm metro station (on the U6/U7 line) and even on a bitterly cold January evening was busy serving variants on a sausage theme. Old and young Berliners stand round tall plastic tables eating the delicious hot currywurst, the chips (pommes-frites) are pretty enjoyable too.
It is well worth the trip to Curry 36, for less than 5 euros you can have a genuine part of the Berlin experience. Now I am proud to say that I, too, am a Berliner!

Good for: atmosphere, food, Budget Travellers, Solo Travellers, service
