This urbane lifestyle hotel pays homage to President John F Kennedy with plenty of whimsical detail, including hand-carved rocking chairs (because the President had a back problem that rockers helped him with) and curvaceous lamps inspired by Jackie’s ball gowns. Rooms are smartly dressed in dark zebrano wood and a silver-white colour scheme; some overlook the Friedrichswerdersche Kirche, others the German Foreign Office. Optional breakfast is €18.
