Back in the 1990s, Sascha Waltz transformed the Sophiensaele into Berlin’s number-one spot for experimental and avant-garde dance. Since then, the emphasis has edged back towards theatre and performance art, but you can still expect to find some of the city’s most exciting dance events here.
