I am going to spend the summer (may-August) in Erkelenz, Germany doing an internship and I am wanting to take several trips while I'm there.
I want to take at least 5 trips: Munich, Paris, Prague, Switzerland, and London.
I am trying to figure out what the best way for me to go about doing it. I've seen the Bahn Card 50, and the Eurail select passes which both look pretty good(better since I'm a student).
Can someone tell me what the best deal would be? I've noticed…
I am planning to run in the Berlin Big 25 race on 10-MAY-2015 with some friends, then make our way to the airport to fly back to the UK. As we will have to check out of our hotel in the morning before the race, I am trying to work out whether there is anywhere to have a shower and change before making our way to the airport.
Any suggestions gratefully received!
I have a 13 hour layover in Munich (8am-9pm) and I plan on getting a tour guide (toursbylocals.com- SUPER flexible in what I do). I was wondering what attractions I should focus on without overpacking the day while still hitting the main stuff. Also what's the deal with leaving the airport and visas (I'm American) and can I re-check my bag prior to my excursion or is that too early? Any/all advice is welcome!
I looked forward to seeing and enjoying Berlin traditional food in this place. This spot is the most popular one for travelers who read Lonley Planet. Taste is good, not bad. However, I was very upset today due to their servers and manager, a lady' s attitudes. I and my freiend went to have their dishes today without reservation. But they have some empty space and told us to give one hour for dinner. So we ordered 2 main dishes and in ten minutes ordered 1 more dish. Afrer having 2 dishes, even…
Im off to Berlin for a long weekend with friends in a couple of weeks.
Some years back I was in Berlin for work and was taken to a beer cellar type restaurant by work colleagues which if I remember was in an old communist party headquarters building.
I was looking to revisit but cant remember what it was called?
We are staying in Alexanderplatz area, any good recommendations for place to eat and drink on a Saturday night? We are all in our 40s so not looking for super exiting nightlife, more…
I am planning to try my first stay in a castle in Hotel Schloss Waldeck, and from the Google map I saw a stop(not sure it is a bus stop or a train station) called Waldecker Bergbahn Bergstation nearby. Unfortunately, I cannot find a stop with exactly the same name on DB!
Anyone knows something about the place? Or any means of public transport to get there?
I will be arriving in Berlin on 19 Feb and intend to stay in Germany for about 10 days before heading to Zurich. What do you recommend I should see in Berlin and Munich? I enjoy nature, history and the arts. What's the cheapest and easiest way to get from Berlin to Munich? I'm also hoping to visit the Black Forest and the Disney Castle if that's possible. I don't speak German so hopefully language won't be an issue. Travelling on a shoestring budget! :P
Any travel suggestions will be…
