Train
Passau is on the main train line going to Nuremberg (€37, two hours), Regensburg (€18, 1½ hours) and Vienna (€38, 3½ hours). There are also direct trains to Munich (€27, 2¼ hours). The trip to Zwiesel (€17, 1½ hours) and other Bavarian Forest towns requires a change in Plattling.
Passau is just off the A3 autobahn from Nuremberg to Regensburg, which links up with the A92 to Munich near Deggendorf.
