Not only does the 'Holy Spirit Foundation' have a succession of walnut-panelled rooms, a candlelit cellar (open from ) and a vine-draped garden (reflecting its own wine), but the food is equally inspired. Specialities include Spiessbraten (marinated meat licked by a beechwood fire) and fish plucked live from the concrete trough.

The garden's apricot tree produces the handmade jam incorporated in the Marillenpalatschinke (a rolled-up pancake) and fruit for the Marillenknödel (filled yeast dumplings), and the schnapps are also homemade.
