Lonely Planet review for Caracalla-Therme
The modern Caracalla-Therme, which opened in 1985 and is named for a Roman emperor, has more than 900 square metres of outdoor and indoor pools, hot and cold water grottoes, various whirlpools, therapeutic water massages, a surge channel and a range of saunas, including a new log-cabin sauna. Bathing suits (available for purchase) must be worn everywhere except in the upstairs sauna; towels can be rented. Children are admitted from age three.

amazing !!
kelleburm recommends this,
This place is AMAZING! I wasn't sure what to expect when I went there with a study abroad trip but it was the most amazing spa I have seen. There are several very large pools of water at various temperatures, waterfalls, jets, connected outdoor pool, etc ! It was a beautiful day which helped because we were able to use the outside pools too.. but the temperature was perfect of the water just a little less hot then a hot tub water (90s). The best part is the hot and cold water grotto. The hot grotto has water of 100ºF with a waterfall, you sit in there for about 5 minutes, then get out and quickly get into the cold water grotto right next to it, where the water is only 65ºF !!! It is insane, soo exhilarating !! I loved this place, the price was SO worth it (I think 12 euro for a group rate? for 2 hours..) It is clean and beautiful! I want to go back to Germany just to go to Baden Baden..
