We are two spanish friends that are going to Mestia to do the classical Mestia to Ushguli treck (so excited!) next week. I have this questions:
- Is it easy to buy/find mineral water in the villages or between or should we buy water purification tablets?
- Do the guesthouses prepare sandwhich or anything to eat during the treck or sould we buy gels?
- Shoukd we book the guesthouses in advance or because it is off season, we shouldnt have any problem?
Thank you in advance guys!
I am planning a trip to Georgia in late October, and would like to try the sulphur baths in Tbilisi.
I understood in most of them you can rent a private room.
What is a recommended bath with private rooms? Should we book in advance?
I was planning a quick solo 3 Night 4 day trip to Georgia.
I did a little research and came up with this itinerary. Could you suggest anything better??
Day1:Arrival at Tbilisi (explore the streets)
Day 2: Trip to Gudauri (paragliding) & Gergeti Trinity Church. Back to Tbilisi at night
Day 3: Trip to Mtskheta and Uplistisikhe
Day 4: Back home
I want to get the best out of this country in the short time that I have. Please help!
Much appreciated and thanks in advance!
Three of us will be trekking in the Svaneti and Tusheti regions in early October. My question is - do you think we will be able to stay in overnight guesthouses in villages? And, will villages appear frequently on our treks?
I am planning to move to Tbilisi for 4 months from January 2017. I am planning to study Georgian there during my stay.
I am a French and English language teacher, and I was wondering if it is possible to teach private lessons to students?
Is it legal and/or easy to find students or should I, instead, find a language school and work with them?
Thanks for your answers!

I want to know , what are the top reasons why you like or dislike Georgia. Please, be open to write your opinions. For me, it will be a great help to make presentation with topic: "Georgia through the eyes of Travelers".
thanks in advance :)
Hi - has anybody recently driven the road between Ushguli and Lentekhi? Depending on the weather situation, I might want to do this in early October, if it's still possible. (I already know that the road is in bad shape and certainly requires a 4WD - I'll have a Toyota 4Runner or similar to do this... But additional insights would be welcome.)
Hi folks! With my wife we spent altogether nine days in GE this Aug/Sep. We were there in 2005 already so this time we were focusing on the places which we couldn’t see then. On the top of that, we combined GE with the rest of the trip to TR/AZ. The country has changed a lot in a decade, for better and for worse. Now, it is even easier to travel than it was back then, countless accommodation options, infrastructure improved, but there are much more tourists. I found GE still very welcoming and…
I am aware that there is a bus company called Georgian Bus, which has buses between central Tbilisi and Kutaisi airport (20 lari?)
From reading old threads here, people seem to suggest that Metrobus is much more comfortable, for the four hour journey.
As there appear to be six departures a day between Tbilisi and Batumi, I just wondered if these buses would do the short detour on-route and go to the Kutaisi airport? How much would this fare be?
How frequent are marshrutkas from Tbilisi to Kutaisi…
