The rules for the visa waiver for entry to Georgia changed on 1 September 2014, but citizens of most developed nations can continue to enter Georgia without a visa for a period of up to 90 days in any 180 day period.
Find the details relating to your country from the list at this link, remembering to look under 'Federal/Islamic/Republic of ...' or 'Commonwealth of ... ' or 'Kingdom of ...' if that applies:https://www.geoconsul.gov.ge/en/visaInformation

hello folks, if by any chance anyone on this forum is booked on that flight, i'd be delighted to team up and maybe even rent a car together. i've found out that taking public transportation in GE can be a total waste of time, and considering i just have 8/9 days to see the country (and will try to squeeze erevan in between), maybe the car is an option for me. ideally, after i get off my plane, i want to see kutaisi the next day, and borjomi before going to erevan or before crossing to turkey.…
We are thinking about to head up to Mazeri from Zugdidi instead of Mestia. I have read on the web, most beautiful trekkings in upper-Svaneti can be made from here.
How is it possible to reach Mazeri from Zugdidi? Is there accommodation opportunities in Mazeri?
Thanks for any help.
I am going to Georgia in mid October and would be grateful for advice on getting to Davit Gareja from Telavi or Sighnaghi AND from Davit Gareja to Tbilisi...do you know if there is any public transport, either way?
Thanks a lot in advance!
We would like to take the night train from Tbilisi to Zugdidi in couple days, I tried to book the train ticket online, via railway.ge
I could sign up, and select the train..etc, but when I click on the bottom to pay, the page gets frozen, and the payment is not allowed. Tried it already several times, different times of the day, but the same happens.
Can it be that the ticket is not possible to purchase online from abroad?
How can I book ticket if not via railway.ge?
Thank you for any…
Do you know how difficult is the Guli-pass trekking in Svaneti? Can it be done in one day? (from Mestia)
We are experienced hikers, so no problem to to trek 8-10 hours (but do not plan to take with us specific equipment, like crampons or so...
I have heard it is a very nice trekking route with with amazing scenery.
If this route is not feasable in October, can you recommend an other one with similarly panoramic view?
Thanks for any advice!
It looks like this is possible to travel by marshrutka from Telavi to Saki via Qax. We don't want to go back to Tblisi.
It would be great to hear any advice or of recent experiences.
Do you know if there is any trekking route in Svaneti (starting point: Mestia) from where Mt. Elbrus can be seen?
Does it needed to "hire"a guide for one day trekking in Mestia ?
I am confused by the changes to the new visa rules. I entered the country on 6th August and will leave this Saturday to visit Iran for one month. I want to return to Georgia in early November.
Does anyone know if I will need to apply for a visa before I come? I have heard I need to stay out of Georgia for 90 days before I return?
I have both an Australian and British passport.
Any help much appreciated.
