Has anyone had any experience in either Minkebe NP or the Crystal Mountains`?
Anyone organizing anything from Oyem? (I did a tour with the wwf four years ago in Ivindo)
Also: can an evisa approval take longer than 72 hours?
thanks guys and gals.
We visited Mikongo with Ghislain who has been reviewed many times all over the internet. Everything positive you here about him is true (he was extremely helpful in organising our trip before we'd even arrived in Gabon).
Mikongo was originally set up by the London Zoological Society. Ghislain was hired to be an animal tracker and thus knows the paths around the camp extremely well.
They left in the early 2000s…
Visiting Pongara from Libreville is very easy. You can catch a ferry from Michel Marine which goes daily. The ferry costs 12000 for a return ticket. The ticket booth is to the left of Hotel L'Azise and directly in front of you when you enter the marina. Be careful as there is another boat launching area to the right of the hotel where the boats to the various lodges go from. The ferry goes at about 9:30 but is always best to check the day before.
We stayed at La Maringa (Olando Ntchuwa)…

Does anyone knows if I can get a visa in Gabon for Cameroon?
If yes, where in Gabon can I apply for it, how much are the costs and how long does it take?
I´m planning a west/Cental Afrika trip and also need visa for Congo, DRC, Tchad, Central african Republik and Niger.
Any Infos where I can apply for those visas?
I would be happy to get any Infos because Ive been searching since days for Infos and don´t get any clear answers.
Thank you so much, safe travels ;-)
We're leaving for Gabon in 10 days and by chance I read on a travel agency's webpage that in order to visit Langoue Bai in Ivindo NP you need a tuberculosis vaccine. Can anyone confirm this?
I have tried to contact WCS who runs the reserach station there, but no answer yet.
We really wanna be able to do this trek/trip, but getting the vaccine seems a bit radical, and we may be out of time. I have found no other pages that confirm the travel agency's claim.
Any help is much…
We have been in Gabon in July 2015 and we want to recommend the trekking tour with the NGO "PROGRAM".
Before our trip through Gabon we had contact with theTourism Coordinator of PROGRAM, Ghislain BOUASSA ( email@example.com
He arranged for us a three day-trip to the Moukalaba Doudou National Park. We stayed at the Casa Madre near Doussala. For us it was the best option because the package was not so expensive as the offers from the tour operator that arranges trips…
