Bus
From the bus station (9 rue Proudhon), there are daily services to Ornans and Pontarlier.
Train
From Besançon Gare Viotte, 800m uphill from the city centre, there are trains to/from Paris’ Gare de Lyon (€86, 2¾ hours, three daily), Dijon (€14.40, 50 minutes, 20 daily), Lyon (€24.10, 2¾ hours, seven daily), Belfort (€13.40, 1¼ hours, six daily), Arbois (€7.70, 45 minutes, eight to 10 daily) and Arc-et-Senans (€5.60, 35 minutes, up to 10 daily). Buy tickets at the train station or from the Boutique SNCF (44 Grand Rue; 9am-7pm Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm Sat) in town.
