Having 5 or so weeks in UK but want to spend 1 weekin south of Spain. In order to see more thought w uld get fast trains Paris, Marseille, Barcelona. This might seem silly question, but with the speed of the trains does everything whiz past so fast that it isn't worth it from sight seeing point of view?

St Eustache is in the Les Halles area and its organ is famous even among all the organs in Paris. The French government has been having work done on the organ since April but will allow it to be played during the Christmas season.
The site is in French but online translating should provide the…

Southern France Mediterranean and Roman route

Hi there,
I'm a French teacher and have been lucky so far to go to every region north of Limoges in the West and Annecy in the East. I still haven't been to the South, which many of my French friends tell me, is the best part. The Massif Central is on my list but I think this year I would like to do the Mediterranean coast. A mix of beach, culture and nice little towns with a good market would be ideal. I will be travelling alone so would like places which are safe to stay - I know…

Paris on NYE - Recommendations

Hello All,

I'm looking for some recommendations for NYE in Paris. I will be staying in the Montmartre area with my girlfriend, and we are looking for some recommendations as to where to go out to celebrate the New Year. I've heard that near the Eiffel Tower is not too exciting, and it can be a bit underwhelming.

We would also like to consider finding a masquerade party if possible, and perhaps someone could recommend if they know of one of these events going on. I'm guessing this would require…

Best way to get to venice from paris?

I'm planning a possible Europe trip in March next year and one of the stops is Paris.

The next destination I really want to see is Venice. My question is, what is the best way to get from Paris to Venice?

I know we can probably just fly over there, but was wondering if it'd be worth renting a car and driving through Switzerland, or taking a train through Germany.

Any thoughts would be great!

Paris apartment with kids

Hi folks

We will be in Paris for 5 nights in April 2015 and would love any suggestions for 2 bedroom apartments suitable for a family with two kids between 5-8

Ideally near the centre of town or left bank or Montmartre

We know there are sites like air BnB but nothing beats a recommendation and we are looking for something we can book now.....

Cheers

Skype and 3G Networks

Hello -
I have been searching to find out if Orange, SFR and/or Bouygues will support 3G calls from my tablet using Skype Credit for calls within France to cell phones and landlines. I found an article in The Guardian from 2011 which indicates that these French companies do not allow use of VoIP on their networks. Is that still true?

What about WiFi? Are there restrictions on the use of VoIP?
