For a taste of Bordeaux (that for once doesn't involve wine!), head to Baillardran to watch them make canelès , a local cake distinguished by its moist, vanilla-infused interior encased in a hard exterior shaped like a rippled jelly mould. There are several outlets of this store in town including one in the Galerie des Grands Hommes.
