I am going to be working in Germany over the summer and doing some traveling on my time off. I would really like to see Normandy (with a specific interest in WW2 sites). I've heard there's a great museum in Canen, so I think that should be my starting point after leaving from Paris. I'd like to make a 2-day trip and stay within Mt. Saint Michel for a night in-between. I will be 21 at the time and I'm not sure I can even rent a car. Even so, I'd prefer to take a train if that is…
I'm looking for any suggestions for things that three 16 year olds would enjoy doing in Paris that perhaps I cannot find on the travel sites. Two boys, one girl and they have vast interests from sports to theater to fashion. Mostly, they are very interested in experiencing a culture other than what they know in the United States (central region-Kansas City).
We are in Paris for 4 nights in early June, staying in the 3rd ARR.
We will spend some time at museums and the high profile touristy…
My wife, 2 children (2 & 4) and I are on the look out for a small house to rent for 2 weeks this June in Corsica. We are both hoping for a bit of everything - beautiful beaches, good restaurants, interesting cultural/geographical sites and everything else you would hope for whilst away on holiday. Whilst i'd love to head to the hills for 5 days of trekking, this just isn't practical with the age of my kids. At the moment we are just trying to decide on a location - North or…
I've been researching and having a hard time finding a great farmstay for our family in France. We are looking for the equivalent to "agroturismo" in Italy. I've been directed to a few websites, and I'm still not finding something that works for us. The French "gite" (self-catering) is not exactly what we are looking for. We'd like 2-3 rooms (for 2-3 families), and we'd love to have a dinner at the farm option, horseback riding, sort of rustic accommodations but still bearable for kids and…
We are a family of 4 planning to tour France for 8 days in first week of June.
We are from India and are vegetarians.
So basically the first thing we have in mind is the transport.
I researched both renting a car and the France rail pass for 8 days.
And in my opinion the car is a cheaper option while being more flexible than the train.
The rail pass is more expensive than the car and there is an extra…
When you travel to Paris, please don't take train from airport to downtown. There are so many .... many gang crimes in train. After we left airport station, gang crime people get on the train. They were three to five people to one group around you. The whole train was full of gang crime people. It was too late to go away. I lost everything on 25 Jan, 2015. Train station staffs cannot speak English. Police only ask you fill the crime form and return the form to you with stamp. No one can help…
