I planned renting a car and driving from Barcelona to Marseille, thinking that it will be beautiful driving along the Southern coast of Spain and France. But after looking at the map, it seems the road is often very far away from the sea. Anyone ever do it? Is it even worth it? Is it beautiful? Do you pass little cute villages along the way? Or should I skip it entirely? Thanks.
I am travelling to southern France and then Paris later this year (2017) and am needing to use my internet via laptop for a couple of weeks. Does anyone know if I can buy a comparatively cheap pre-paid French travel dongle that allows internet access. I am aware that Orange had such things but most of the information on the internet that I have found is years out of date. Anyone with latest info? Would love to hear!
All online sources seemed to say Fontfroide abbey would be impossible to visit from Narbonne without a car, but I went last week. There's a guy with a minivan which seats 8; one way is €20 but that's for the whole van so if you are a few, or can hook up to go with other clients of his, then it can work out a lot cheaper.
Watch out though, he tried to overcharge us coming back. It very clearly says on his leaflet and when I spoke on the phone €20 each way but he tried to charge us €35 because it…
I'm planning to visit Corsica by car, end of September. Is it conceivable to do so without any (hotel) reservations or is it too risky at this time of year? We will be two. Thank you.
We're a middle-aged couple, not into skiing or clubbing (!), but love mountain air and scenic countryside, and we're looking for recommendations on the best place to base ourselves for a week or so in mid-September around Lake Annecy. We don't want to be too rural or remote, but equally we don't want to be in 'bar street' in any of the towns. Thanks in advance!
I am looking for shower facilities in Paris to use after arriving in CDG on a long-haul flight, before taking a train out of Paris later in the day. All the shower facilities in the airport seem to be for people who have onward tickets. Does anyone know of a hotel/gym in Paris (preferably near the airport) that offers day passes to their fitness centers (aka includes a shower), or other shower possibilities around the city? I reached out to the airport Hilton but no luck.
I want to ask, what is the cheapest option to go from Paris Beauvais airport to Fecamp, Normadia?
Is it difficult to hitchhike? How long it can take? How do you think, is it possible for me with 2 children (9 and 12 y.o.)? Which road we better to take?
Also we later will go from Fecamp to Paris center, then Paris - Beauvais. Can I count on HH?
Thanks in advance!
