Coordinated terrorist attacks, multiple bombings & shootings in Paris. "All Paris residents have been ordered to stay indoors for the first time since 1944."
I'm going skiing in Méribel in January and wonder what is my best route there from Toulouse?
I can fly to Geneva (people are driving from there) however the only direct flight is a day earlier so would need to book a hotel (around 60 euros).
I've looked at trains to chambery which are not too expensive, but does anyone know if there are regular buses/trains between chambery and méribel?
If there are any other routes that make more sense I hope you can advise me please!
Four of us are looking to travel from Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport to Les Deux Alpes on a Thursday and return the following Monday in March. Would be much appreciated if people could share any experiences they've had doing this journey?
I was hoping that there would be a shared shuttle bus between the two locations - but they seem to only run Friday to Sunday.
I'm going to be going on a student exchange to France for a semester (6 months). So I need to rent an apartment and the apartment I have applied to, says you need to have rental insurance before you can sign the lease. I have researched getting rental insurance and it seems like you get it from the bank. But you can't get a bank account unless you have a French address, which I won't have until I have rental insurance. It's a catch-22. Is there another way to get rental insurance?? I've…
I am trying to reach friends who live in/around Paris to find out if they are okay. All but a couple are fine. But I cannot reach those two. No replies to emails and no response to the phone ! Can anyone tell me if the phone lines are functioning properly? Does anyone else have the same problem?
Really appreciate your help!
Situation will remain fluid for sometime. ISIS is claiming responsibility - how gallant.
Perhaps 160 victims. Three terrorists dead. France has closed its borders.
Hey there! I need a Burgundy pro's advice. Where is the best part of the region to stay. I'm seeing a lot in the Morvan forest range. Is it too remote, hilly, or difficult to drive in? Specifically in winter time (going next month for 2 weeks), Since it's winter time, will many of the caves/wineries be closed for tastings, or can anyone advise some good ones that have extended hours? I'm wondering if we should base ourselves on the western side of Burgundy where we would be closer to the UNESCO…
I arrived in Paris yesterday, but was a little bit silly and left my kindle on the plane! It was retrieved by airport staff and is in the lost and found, but I was wondering if anyone travelling to Paris via Beauvais would be kind enough to pick it up for me and bring it to the city? This would avoid me spending a few hours and 34€ for a bus there and back... I will give a bottle of wine in return :) thanks!!!
